Metrics

In Google Analytics, Metrics refer to any quantitative measurements. Metrics are divided into 3 basic types, Acquisition (related to how we got the user to the website), Behavioral (related to the user behavior on the website) and Conversions (related to specific goals which we’ve set). Example metrics include:

Acquisition Metrics

  • Sessions
  • New Sessions
  • % of New Sessions
  • Ad Clicks

Behavioral Metrics

  • Bounce Rate
  • Pages / Session
  • Avergage Session Duration

Conversion Metrics

  • Goal Completions
  • Transactions
  • Conversion Rate
  • Revenue
  • ROAS (Return on Advertising Spend)
