Now, we’re going to review a few different Screaming Frog tabs which break down specific elements for easy review. In this topic, we’ll look at the following Screaming Frog tabs:

  • Page Titles: View which focuses on showing Title Tag information
  • Meta Description: View which focuses on showing meta description information
  • H1 and H2: View which focuses on displaying information about the using of html heading tags

Page Titles

This tab helps us quickly review the usage of title tags for our website (important for SEO). At a glance, we can see the title tag of each page, the number of title tags assigned (there should only be 1!), and the length of title tag (in terms of characters and pixels).

Why Is This Useful?

At a glance, we can view whether our titles are descriptive, missing, too long, etc. It’s a very efficient way to identify issues. There are a number of filters which help bring issues to light including Missing, Duplicates, etc.

Meta Description

This tab helps us quickly review the usage of meta description tags for our website (important for SERP click-through rates). At a glance, we can see the meta description of each page, the number of meta description tags assigned (there should only be 1!), and the length of meta description (in terms of characters and pixels).
